Emily Ristine Holloway
Artistic Director/Founder
Emily Ristine Holloway is the Artistic Director and Founder of Summer Stock Stage. A native of Indianapolis, Emily ‘s vision of creating a summer musical theater tradition for audiences and artists began as a high school program at her alma mater, Park Tudor School, and has since evolved into a regional professional theatre company and a leader in arts education for young performers.
Over more than two decades, Emily has directed and produced close to 50 musicals. In an effort to encourage participation in the arts, Emily created a business model for producing a musical and has successfully planted musicals in schools throughout the city of Indianapolis. She has directed many school musicals and served as an adjunct professor at Butler University teaching musical theater seminar and directing their musicals. Emily has also directed professionally with the Phoenix Theater.
Emily is also an accomplished actor, singer, and voiceover artist. With a professional career that began at Walt Disney World, Emily has been a member of Actors Equity Association since 1997. Some favorite roles include Diana in Next to Normal, Phoebe in As You Like It, Kate Monster in Avenue Q and Helen in Fun Home. Emily spent 8 holiday seasons from 1999 to 2018 performing in various roles in Indiana Repertory Theatre’s annual production of A Christmas Carol. She had a long career as a studio singer recording for Music Theater International’s Broadway Jr. Series and has performed on numerous occasions with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
Emily lives close to extended family in Midtown Indianapolis with her husband Ben and two daughters, Tess and Violet.
Mike Berg Raunick
Managing Director/Music Supervisor
Mike Berg Raunick is a graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and holds a master’s degree from Butler University in Educational Leadership. Mike started as the full-time Managing Director of SSS in 2024, but has been working with Summer Stock Stage as a music director for both Mainstage and Eclipse since 2018. He has conducted SSS performances at Park Tudor, IRT, and the Phoenix Theatre, coordinated the virtual intensive series in the summer of 2020, worked on two productions during the outdoor season in 2021, and served as music director and pianist for the 20th anniversary gala in 2023.
Previous to his work with SSS Mike was the Director of Choirs at North Central High School from 2013-2024. Under his leadership, the choir program at North Central continued a tradition of excellence that included 10 choirs and over 300 students. At North Central Mike also regularly worked with the theatre program, and served as the music director and producer for the Indiana High School Premiere of Frozen in 2023. During his time at North Central, the choirs won 8 state show choir championships and 3 state concert choir championships. In 2018, North Central’s most advanced choir, the Counterpoints, was named Show Choir Nationals Grand Champion. Mike also founded the NCHS Choir Parent Organization (a 501c3), as well as North Side Sound, a middle school show choir that provides opportunities to students from more than 7 different schools on the north side of Indianapolis.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mike co-founded Riverbend Production Company, a virtual performance company. During the 2020-2021 school year, the company created over 200 virtual performance videos for choirs, orchestras, bands, and theatre companies across the United States and Canada, including producing all of the videos for Summer Stock’s virtual performance series.
Mike is also an active composer, arranger, and clinician. His arrangements and compositions for show choir and concert choir have been performed by choirs throughout the United States. He also wrote the book and score for an original musical titled Welcome to College that was performed for over ten years as part of orientation programming at Indiana University – Bloomington.
Mike lives in Indianapolis with his wife Cara and daughter Ruth.
