Summer Stock Stage announces 2014 Season

Indianapolis, IN- Summer Stock Stage announces its Summer 2014 season featuring Hair: The American Tribal Love- Rock Musical  and The King and IHair will run June 26, 2014-June 29, 2014 followed by the King and I, July 24, 2014-July 27, 2014. Both productions will be held at the Ayres Auditorium at Park Tudor School, 7200 N. College Avenue, Indianapolis 46240.

Hair – Hair takes place in the 1960’s and tells the story of a group of young people searching for love and peace in the Vietnam era.  One of Broadway’s first rock scores, this upbeat, hopeful, muscial features “Good Morning Starshine,” and “Let the Sun Shine In.”  Come experiences the magic.

The Age of Aquarius comes to Summer Stock Stage June 26-29! Thursday – Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm and Sunday performance is at 2:30 pm.  (Hair contains mature content and should be for audiences over 13 years of age.)

The King and I – Rodgers and Hammerstein’s unique love story features a memorable and breathtaking score.

Be whisked away to faraway lands in this charming story of a British governess who comes to the court of Siam to tutor the King’s many children.  Within the splendor of the Royal Palace, Anna and the King come to understand one another and learn about each other’s cultures.  This much-loved musical features some of theater’s loveliest and most well-known music including “Hello, Young Lovers,” “Getting To Know You,” and the unforgettable “Shall We Dance?” Don’t miss this family-friendly classic July 24-27. Thursday – Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm and Sunday performance is at 2:30 pm.

Tickets – All tickets go on sale May 15, 2014 and can be purchased through www.summerstockstage.com or at the box office on the night of show. All tickets are $17. Shows do sell out so be sure to buy your tickets early! Ticketing questions should be emailed to info@summerstockstage.com.
